7 Hotels In 1 Day

Monday we ventured out of London to check out our second batch of hotels for future Through The Looking Glass trips.  Debbie and I took the train out to Oxford where Peter picked us up.  The Paddington train station was quite impressive.  The train ride was only about 45 minutes.

From Oxford, we drove all over the Cotswolds looking at hotels.  Our first stop was The Old Swan and Minster Mill, then to Bay Tree Hotel, and Wyck Hill House.  We stopped in Stow to check out Peter’s antique showroom shop “Tudor House” and had some lunch at a cute little pub, Talbot.  After lunch we stopped at Lower Slaughter Manor (my favorite, also pictured below) and then to The Dial House, Swan Hotel and Hare & Hounds.  This map shows you our journey.

The country side was beautiful and we ran into quite a few people riding horses, like this…

I love these trees that were outside of The Dial House.  I call them “creepy trees”….

From the last hotel, Hare & Hound in Tetbury, it was a two hour drive back into London.  We made it back about 7:30 and went straight to dinner at Star of India.  Amazing Food. I would totally recommend this to anyone visiting London.  I crashed hard last night after a full day. Today is the last day in London for me, let the adventures continue!
